The reality is an outstanding education can be acquired from within the areas touched-upon above.  RPL is recognised as being a pivotal component of the Australian Quality Training Framework.

Why apply for RPL?

Let’s face it, it’s tedious and annoying being forced to learn about something in which we’re already proficient.  Dymond Institute of Business in Queensland understands this, and therefore discusses our clients’ current knowledge and skills with them prior to enrolment into our programs. This enables us to identify units of competency (subjects) from our programs, which our clients’ can be assessed against, without the need to undertake the ‘study’ component.  This accelerates course completion.

How does RPL work?

The process of RPL requires clients’ to submit evidence in accordance with the rules of assessment mandated by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). A number of methods will be used to assess an applicant’s competency.

These may include:

Oral or written questioning;
Collecting tangible documented evidence;
Observation of task performance;
Challenge testing; and
Third party validation reports from the candidate’s current or past employers.

The type of evidence will vary depending upon the performance standards of the unit (subject), which you are being assessed against.  Your assessor will discuss these with you.
